Pitiful

Our sweet boy who NEVER cries, and i mean NEVER, had his second round of shots today and cried for about 5 minutes and whimpered all the way home. :( He is sacked out now, thank goodness. I just feel so bad for him. 4 needle pokes is not fun...especially when you're already kinda cranky b/c you're tired! Anyway, everything else was great. He's now 17 1/2 pounds and 26 inches. (90th percentile in both) He can start on some solid foods now. Fun!

Merry Christmas?

I'm beginning to think it's not so merry. My grandfather passed away last night after battling heart disease, failing kidneys, and leukemia. Then I find out just moments ago that a very close friend's father passed away this afternoon from the cancer he'd been fighting for a while now. How odd to be thinking of mortality when everyone else is thinking about birth. That's what Christmas is supposed to be about, beginnings. A celebration of the birth of a Savior. Yet somehow it's fitting to consider death in the midst of all the merriment. Jesus was born to die for us, that we may be free. I know beyond a shadow of doubt that my grandfather, C.W. Davidson, and my close friend Ed Wosotowsky are both with Jesus right now, both free from their pain, as the whole world celebrates his birthday.

Remember as you celebrate this joyous season that the baby in a manger grew up to hang on a cross, paying the ultimate price for our sin that we may be free.

Bryan's First Christmas Tree

Bryan loves the lights on the Christmas tree. He also loves the musical snowman that we have that plays Frosty the Snowman! :) His Sug (Matt's mom) is going to be taking professional pictures tonight or tomorrow of him in his Santa suit and a new reindeer outfit he has! We'll post them as soon as we get them.

Thanksgiving Week

Bryan will be 12 weeks old tomorrow! I propped him up in the recliner to talk to him last night and he talked and smiled so much. He loves sitting up...but he HATES tummy time!!!

Fall Festival at GBC

We took Bryan to our church's Fall Festival last night. He did soooooooooo good and everyone just loved him! It's the first time a lot of people had seen him. We didn't really have an offical costume for him, but found this outfit his Granna got him to be perfect for the evening. Today we went to the pumpkin patch with his Sug and took LOTS of pictures! I'll post some as soon as I get them. :) >

Trip to Phenix City

Mary Lynn and I loaded up Bryan and Allison Saturday for a fun weekend at Granna and Papaw's. They did soooo good and were very interested in each other! Allison is almost 4 months old and Bryan is a little over 2 months.

Getting Ready for Halloween

Bryan is growing growing growing. He'll be 8 weeks old on Thursday. We went to the pediatrician today for shots, but he is not 2 months old yet so they couldn't do them. But he did go ahead with the exam. Everything looks wonderful and he's very healthy. He now weighs 12pounds and 14oz and is 23 inches. We'll go back next Tuesday the 17th for shots.

He's Here!!!

Bryan Joel arrived in the world at 12:17PM yesterday, August the 17th. He is 8lb 10oz (holy cow!) and 20 1/4 inches long. Jamie and Bryan are both doing just great and we're all home now trying to get settled into this parenting thing. More pictures and some video as soon as we can get them up.
