Lyndi Lou

Here is a picture I received last night of Lyndi, the beautiful mom-to-be. If you are reading this, please say a prayer for her today. She is 36 weeks and on bed rest. She's patiently waiting for the arrival of her son, Grant Davidson. We are all excited to meet him.

(This one is of us at her baby shower a couple of weekends ago.)

Kim Tagged Me, So I'm It!

Here are the rules:

1. The rules of the game get posted at the beginning.
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post, the player tags 5 people and posts their name, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was a senior in highschool and was getting ready for graduation. I think we had just come home from our trip to Honduras.

5 snacks I enjoy in a perfect non-weight gaining world:
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chips and Salsa
Lime Tortilla Chips
Cake of any kind
Candy-twizzlers, nerds, gummy bears, etc

In the real world:
All of the things in the other catagory! :)
Apples, grapes, bananas
Fiber One bars

Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
Wow! Billionaire! That would be nice. :) I would pay off our debts along with all of my family's debts. I'd get a bigger house, but not a huge one. Maybe a 4 or 5 bedroom one. :) I'd love to travel to a few places in our country as well as other countries, so I'd definitely do that. I'd give a lot away and put a lot in savings.

Five jobs that I've had:
Babysitter
Waitress (not a real one though. it was in a tea room on Signal Mountain and we were never busy)
Office Manager for ChrisMill Homes
Chiropractic Assistant
Church secretary/receptionist

Three of my habits:
staying on the computer too long
laziness...not really a habit, but lifestyle :)
twirling my hair

Five places I've lived:
Louisville, KY
Houston, TX
Tulsa, OK
Signal Mountain, TN
Albany, GA

And the five people I'm tagging are:
I'm not going to tag anyone specifically, but if you want to participate, leave me a comment so I'll know to check out your blog.

Which one?

My cousin Julie asked me this question last week and now I'm asking you. Hopefully we'll have a few comments on this one.

If you had to go on either American Idol or Dancing with the Stars, which would you pick and why?

We're still here

We are alive, I promise. Sorry for the lack of posts lately. It's been a crazy few weeks. Here are a few things that have been going on at the Baker house.

Bryan got sick 3 weeks ago and was put on his first round of antibiotics. It's a blessing he has been a healthy boy. Since we are new to town we didn't have a pediatrician yet, so we found one close to our house and got lucky! I love her, but Bryan didn't really care for her too much! :) He woke up this morning with a croup cough. We're praying that won't last long.

Lyndi and Ferrell had a baby shower in Albany last Saturday. We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing baby Grant's new things. We also got to do a lot of visiting. Lyndi is on bedrest and is doing great patiently waiting on her son to arrive.

Birmingham is a fun place to be. B and I explore a little almost everyday. Gas is getting too expensive to keep doing that, unfortunately. We're not totally unpacked, but almost. Our neighborhood is so quiet and pretty and I'm enjoying it a lot.

We've been visiting a church that we really like. The worship is awesome and the pastor preaches some awesome sermons. He pretty much lays it out there for everyone.

Bryan turned 20 months old yesterday. He's trying to repeat everything we say. He has also taught himself lots of new sign language by watching Baby Einstein. Our little man amazes us every day. Some of his new words are Sug (Penny's name), cookie, duck, tree, flower, PaPaw, pappie (for paci), pease (please), mo (more), all (all done), mommy, daddy, doggie, daisy (for daisy dog), bowl, cat, and mooooo. I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them all. He tried to say his name yesterday and did a great job. He has been saying moma, but now he says mommy sometimes. I like that. :) Let's see...what else is he doing? He's "running" a little faster. It's more like bouncing. haha! He feeds himself well with a spoon. He won't let us brush his teeth because he has to hold the toothbrush. I'm not sure how much brushing is going on. Oh well! :) I'm sure there is more to update, but my brain is tired.

How are you? What's new in your life?

**Update since starting this post--We had to take Bryan to the Children's Hospital clinic tonight because he started running a fever. He officially has the croup. Poor guy!**

A Fantastic New Chat Client

Just came across a new chat client today that I LOVE. It's better than Pidgin and Meebo. It's Digsby! I'm using it for AOL, MSN, Yahoo, GTalk, and ICQ accounts, it's also checking my GMail, Yahoo Mail, MSN mail, and AOL Mail accounts, AND it's keeping track of my Twitter and Facebook profiles. *whew*

Love it. They have a Windows, a Mac, and a Linux client. Go check it out.

Grandmama

Mary Lynn posted some pictures on her blog of our dad's mom, our dear Grandmama. Today would have been her 77th birthday. She passed away 3 years ago. That's so hard to believe!! She is missed.
