And so it begins

Anyone got some bubble wrap we can have? Started getting stuff packed up for the big move tonight, got guys coming to refinish the tiles in the shower tomorrow (I'd post a before picture, but I'm too embarrased). Pray for us as we try to put our lives away into neatly labeled cardboard containers.

New Hiding Place

Bryan likes to help me move clothes from the washer to the dryer, so I decided to let him help one day a couple of weeks ago. I took some of the existing clothes out of the dryer and put them on the couch. When I came back to get the rest, this is where I found Bryan! :)

Lately he wants to play in my closet. Tonight he went in it, shut the door, and said BYE as he waved. Then he opened the door and said, "Heeeeeeeeeeey" in a high pitch voice. He then repeated that over and over. Hey and Bye! :) So cute!

Big Exciting Scary News

Well, big changes are coming for the Bakers soon. I was offered a job Friday, and pending a few details I'm going to accept. I'll be working in Birmingham, AL for Diagnostic Health Corp, being a systems administrator. So, be praying for us that we can sell our house (anyone buying?!), get packed, moved, and unpacked safely and with most of our sanity intact. Look for more details here as we get more news.

We love you all!

Amazing! This is a video of Rick speaking at Bronner's memorial service. This is part 3 of 3.

If you live in the South then you probably know who Rick and Bubba are. In case you haven't heard already, Rick's 2 year old son, Bronner, died in an accidental drowning Saturday. The Burgess family could use all of our prayers. They are showing a great amount of faith during this awful time. You can read more about it here and here. You can see an interview with Bubba here.

Twitter and Meebo

I've just added a couple of "widgets" in our sidebar. They're below all the archives on the right. One is a Meebo Me! widget and the other gives you my latest updates from Twitter.

I posted a while ago about Meebo, which is a fantastic web-based chat client that connects you to AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, GTalk, ICQ, and a couple of other chat accounts all at once.

Twitter is a micro-blogging service that allows me to quickly post updates via IM or even cell phone text messages about what I'm doing during the day.

I know, geektastic, right?

Growing Boy 2!

In order to put the growth chart in Bryan's room we moved the glider to our guest bedroom. Bryan wanted to sit in it so I took the opportunity to take pictures :) Here are a few cute ones:

I tried to take the pacifier but he clearly wanted it back!!

Growing Boy!

Bryan got this fun growth chart from the Englands for his birthday and we are just now hanging it up! :) It looks like he's grown 1/2 an inch since his last doctor's appointment in December!

It's A....

Since Lyndi has already sent out an email to most of the family I guess it's safe to announce that we're going to have a new NEPHEW! We are all so excited!

Vroom! Vroom!

Bryan got a new car over the weekend! It has provided hours of entertainment for him!

We also got his slide up that he got for Christmas. He's had so much fun with his new toys! :)

Happy New Year!

What a fun year 2007 was! As I was taking my calendar down today I decided to look back on what all this past year brought to us. The main thing is that our son went from baby to toddler! Goodness, how he's grown!

January brought my sister and her family back to town! This has been a very exciting transition for all of us since our babies get to play together as much as we'll let them! (of course that means we get to hang out too!)

In February, Bryan started rolling around on the floor a lot.

Bryan got his first 2 teeth in March. We also got a visit from Aunt Lynn that month!

April brought more teeth and a crawler. Bryan also started saying "mama.".

In May the whole Walker/England/Baker family loaded up and traveled north to Chattanooga to celebrate cousin Ross' high school graduation. I also celebrated my first Mother's day that month :)

June was a fun month since we got to go to the beach for a whole week! We also celebrated Allison's first birthday!

Bryan started standing by himself in July.

August is a month full of birthdays for our family. I turned 28, Dad turned 52, and Bryan turned 1! He also started walking!

In September Matt turned 28 and passed his Cisco certification test :) That was a very big accomplishment!

In October we found out that Bryan is going to have another cousin! In fact, Monday Lyndi and Ferrell will find out if peanut is a boy or girl! Also in October Aunt Beth and Tony came through for a visit.

In November Bryan started learning sign language. He knows: more, all done, bird, please, and thank you.

December was a month full of fun that included Christmas, birthdays, and a Sugarland concert.

I can't wait to see what 2008 holds for the Bakers!! We pray the Lord blesses you all with a wonderful year!

These are for you , Uncle Huck

Lunch with Friends

A few days before Christmas Bryan and I, along with Mary Lynn and Allison, had the privilege of eating with our friends Kim and Lindsay at the Mayberry Diner. Kim is away at school in Mississippi so it was wonderful getting to visit with her! Lindsay had a baby boy, Will, in September and it was the first time I ever met him. He's so precious!

Here are few pictures from our fun lunch!
