I am glad you posted the link to that post. I have a 17 month old son that I am dying to dress up and take out trick or treating. I have gotten some looks from other Christians for that, but I feel that it is what you make it.Thanks
Childhood is so fleeting, I wouldn't worry about what anyone else thinks or feels, take the kids out and let them Trick or Treat in their neighborhoods. We don't teach our children it's an evil holiday, they look at it as getting to dress up and get loads of candy. I love it that the Church's do have the Fall Festivals, that's just one more thing to enjoy, but it never replaced good 'ole Halloween Trick or Treating with our kids or grandkids, I still like to dress up! LOL! Jack'o'Laterns, black cats, furry spiders, candy corn, caramel apples...,fun.
